The July school holidays are right around the corner and sometimes it can be hard to come up with new ideas to keep the kids entertained. Whiteman Park Children’s Forest 

If you’re looking to make the most of a sunny winter day and a way to get your kids off their devices, venture outside to Whiteman Park Children’s Forest. This community forest was designed to encourage kids of all ages to connect with nature. From spotting the flora  and fauna of the forest, to finding the many hidden artworks, or learning a bit more about our native bushland, the park has a range of activity sheets for your little ones to discover the forest with. Entry to the forest is free and it’s less than 20 minutes from home, so we highly recommend adding this one to your list asap. Find out more here. 

 

Catch a Movie

Keen to get the kids out of the house but it’s cold and rainy outside? Then we suggest paying a visit to HOYTS Cinema in Warwick. Just 15 minutes down the road, it has a great selection of new releases to choose from and an endless supply of warm, buttery popcorn. Trust us when we say your kids won’t want to spend their holidays anywhere else. Check out their session times here. Ice Skating

While it may not snow here in Perth, it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the cliche winter activities. Perth Ice Arena is only 12 minutes from home and is Perth’s premium ice skating rink. From ice hockey and figure skating to skating for novices and even a disco night, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Check out their website and pay them a visit these winter holidays.
